Week 10 - 14 / No Class
No class through this week as the lecture wants us to focus on finishing
our final tasks.

Week 10 / Webtoon Part 1
As for task 3 and the final task, we are tasked with making a
webtoon/comic with the genre "fight" in it. We would have to create our
story with 3 arc structures and ensure an exciting plot twist and
storyline. It can be wordless; it must not be a stick-man. Which then we
would have to animate in the end.

Narrative
Act 1
I woke up to a greyish, scathed-looking
ceiling while hearing the lousy alarm beside me. I immediately turned off
the alarm with just a click of my finger. After that, I went to the
bathroom, taking a quick cold shower to prepare for the day. Looking at
the mirror, I buttoned my school uniform and tied my long blue tie. After
I was done, I ran downstairs, and while at it, I smelled a faint fragrance
of my mother's cooking. She cooked me a light brown toasted bread with a
crunchy and dry texture, paired with a golden egg. I took a bite and then
went out of my home with my bicycle to get to school. While riding my bike
to school, suddenly, a mist came out of nowhere, and it engulfed me. I
wasn't able to see and then.
Act 2
Six months later, looking at Gurinbyu High School. A
school filled with a lot of prestigious students. They are known for
creating a lot of famous and successful people. Isamu, Fiji, and Akira,
the three best friends, are the top three students in the school. Isamu is
17 years old, the big guy in the group who is not afraid of anything; he
seems scary, but in reality, he is a kind person and is also good at video
games. Fuji is charismatic in person and pretty tiny, but despite that, he
is top 1 in sports in the school; also, he is known as the school's
prince, he is too 17 years old. Finally, the only girl in the group is
Akira, a cheerful and loud gymnast. She is 17 years old and the smartest
among the group's three. It was a typical day for them; the three of them
decided to hang around after school. Until they were too engulfed by a
mysterious mist that appeared six months ago. Moving up to the next
scene, the three woke up in confusion. Because they were transported to a
different location in mere seconds. And they never had seen the place
before. Suddenly, Akira screamed, and Isamu and Fiji immediately looked
toward her. And they saw a weird-looking creature that resembled a cat
approaching Akira. So, Inscitively, they ran toward the beast and kicked it
out of Akira's way. Then, to their surprise, they heard the creature say,
"guys chill; I mean no harm." So they shouted, "YOU CAN TALK?" shockingly.
The beast responded, "yeah."
Act 3
As they were talking, they were ambushed by another
animal. But this creature does not look the same as the other creature; it
is more prominent in size. In fact, it is more significant than them.
Weirdly enough, it resembles a bug but with sharp fangs and claws. This
bug-like creature attacks them, but they can't do anything and are too
scared to move. As the attack was about to hit them, the cat-like creature jumped in front
of them a blocked the attack. The bug-like beast roars angrily, shaking the
area around them, and continues attacking them. The cat-like creature
continued protecting them. Finally, in a seemingly unfair battle, the
cat-like creature could defeat the bug-like creature. They were chuffed that
the cat-like creature could beat the bug-like beast. Without wasting time,
the cat-like creature said, "follow me." All of them decided to listen and
follow the beast. At the same time, in their mind, they are curious. What is
happening, where are they, and what is this place. All more than a reason to follow the creature and discover what is
happening to them.
Week 11 / Webtoon Part 2
I had done making the story. But, first, to give a brief explanation of
the story. It is about three students from a prestigious high school who
were isekaied (teleported) to another world. A world is full of creatures
or monsters. Their main objective is to understand more about what is
happening and return to their world. While at it, a mysterious figure was
spotted stalking them from afar.
Now I will be doing visual research on what kind of webtoon style I want
to make. Finding inspirations for my webtoon.

I was trying to find an art style I could
use for my webtoon. I didn't want to complicate my webtoon comic by
putting in many details. I like to keep it simple yet has an impact on
it. As I was done with visual research, I started sketching. I began
by drawing the characters.

Week 13 / Motion Comic Part 1
As for the final step, I would be making a motion comic. It was not easy; I had to watch a few videos to get the hang of using After Effects. And here is the first try I did.

Week 14 / Motion Comic Final Part
This week I will be completing the Motion Comic while adjusting a few things along the way. After hours of work, here is the final result I have got.

FEEDBACKS
Webtoon
- Story is interesting
- Feels Incomplete (Not supposed to)
- Drawing can be better
- Drawing is not consistent (in my opinion)
Motion Graphic
- Music doesn't match the story
- Not smooth transition
- The effects may be too much (my opinion)
- Could be better
REFLECTION
This Final Task in this module was the most complicated task I did throughout the semester. Every other module was quite challenging, too but not as much as this. Because I had no experience creating a webtoon or a comic before, especially a motion comic. It took me hours to finish it, but I was not satisfied. I wish I could do better, but I did my best. Overall, it was a refreshing experience, and I would definitely do it again.
