TASKS
Project 2: Kinetic Typography
Project 2 is full of exercises meant to
improve skills in using Adobe (I believe). To save time, let's
start with the first one, Kinetic Typography. We were tasked with
Kinetic Typography. This is group work; we have to choose a song,
and then we would have to animate the song lyrics with motion and
type expression. An example of it would be like this:

At the beginning of this task, my group mates
and I discussed what songs suit Kinetic Typography. After multiple
suggestions and talking, we chose the song "Lost by Maroon 5". The
leader of the group then split up the work amongst ourselves. Here
is the list of the distribution:

I started doing my part after the task was
distributed among the group. But I needed to watch some Adobe
After Effects tutorials before editing mine as I could better use
it. I watched some videos, such as animations and techniques to
create a good lyric video.

I didn't want to create anything fancy yet, so
I started doing the basic movements. After countless hours making
it look good, here is the first draft I came up with. The
fundamental transitions I used here are fade in and out only.

You're right if you think it looks basic
because it is. The feedback I received from this was it looks
decent for basic animation, but I needed more. So I needed to add
a few more animations and transitions to this so it would look
better. After hours, I already would have tried multiple
animations and transitions, but it wasn't great because my lack of
skills could have been better. So I spent another hour or two
perfecting it. Here is the result:

It took a bit of time, but after we were done
with our lyrics, our leader combined all the work into one. And
here's the complete lyric:

Project 2: Animation Chart/Graph
The second exercise of Project 2 is an individual exercise, the animation chart/graph. To create an animation of a chart or a graph (your choice). There are instructions showing exactly how to do this, given by Mr. Martin.
Project 2: Vector/Character Animation
Final individual exercise for Project 2, we have to create a vector or character animation this time.

REFLECTION
Project 2: Motion Graphics
Project 2, aka Motion Graphics, has a lot to offer, and it teaches a variety of ways how to use Adobe After Effects. I have acquired different techniques from this project, such as the use of transitions, effects, and how to manipulate the speed and slow movement of the element to create a motion that s engaging to the audience. Finally, motion graphics is not as challenging as it seems, and it is something that anyone can do if they put effort into it. And that it was definitely a fun project, which I have come to like the most so far.
